The remote phosphor technology enables to recievehigher efficacy (lm/W). So the designer can either encrease efficacy or reducedthe cost of LED lighting fixture. Price drop can be archieved by reducing thenumber of LEDs in the lighting fixture. Also the use of only blue LEDs solvesthe problem of binning (for both color and voltage).
