The remote phosphor technology enables to receivehigher efficacy (lm/W). So the designer can either increase efficacy or reducedthe cost of LED lighting fixture. Price drop can be achieved by reducing the numberof LEDs in the lighting fixture. Also the use of only blue LEDs solves theproblem of binning (for both color and voltage).
